Esta Lee Spivey

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest (Dad,Papa,Lee) Esta Lee Spivey who was born in United States Appling County,Georgia on October 3, 1939 and passed away on January 11, 2007 at the age of 67. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.
PaPa's passion for life began in Douglas,Georgia. He is named after his Dad,who passed away before he was born. His mother, Georgia Spivey, raised him in the country until he decided it was time for him to start his life, as a husband,father. Being a father was a huge passion for Papa's dream, and he and his wife started their family in 1959. They were blessed with 5 children.

PaPa moved to Jacksonville, Florida, and worked with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority for over 25 years. He retired and bought his own rig and went on the road.He loved trucking because it was like going on vacation to him, allowing him to provide for his family and take his grand kids with  him to see the parts of the states he hadn't seen before.

When Papa was at home, he was cooking breakfast for everyone in the morning. Nothing like waking up to "PaPa's Breakfast"!!!! He was always doing something with his kids too!! He loved cooking, and some of the best family memories were created and shared many times over a huge pot of PaPa's famous CHili. He was always going camping.. I remember him taking us several beautiful places..he loved fishing. He loved going huntin with Dad..they went one year to Texas..they both come back with NICE BUCKS...and papa loved sitting around a camp fire enjoying his kids and grandkids.Papa's family grew from 5 kids,15 grandchildren,5 great grandchildren!!
